So, a [REDACTED] Squad was sent in to retrieve them. On the flight to the Landing Zone [LZ], one [REDACTED] soldier fell out of the helicopter flying at high speed and relatively high altitude, plummeting to his death. Another [REDACTED] soldier was picked up and would cover for him. The squad eventually made their way to the designated Landing Zone [LZ] and had dropped off just to East of a large town. The [REDACTED] Squad made their way west through the city, clearing part of it, and into the dense jungle. Through the jungle the [REDACTED] Squad came across an area of completely flat terrain. The [REDACTED] Squad sprinted through this open area and made it back into vegetation. The trek continued northwest towards the People's Army of Vietnam [PAVN] Outpost. The [REDACTED] Squad sneaked around the Outpost, while scouting out two towers with People's Army of Vietnam [PAVN] Machine Gunners in them, as well as a Sniper on a rooftop of a building. One soldier on the [REDACTED] Squad had external matters to attend to and was extracted back to base. The now [REDACTED] Fireteam after making it to the opposite of the Outpost, took out one of the Machine Gunners, and called in Air Support to take care of everything else. During this strafing run, the UH-1Y Huey carrying out the support fired a rocket that exploded on impact of a tree, destroying it and the UH-1Y, along with the pilot. However, the UH-1Y Huey had provided enough support that the [REDACTED] Fireteam continued their original plan. The [REDACTED] Fireteam cleared out the Outpost and found the sensitive documents, which were promptly taken and secured by them. Once the documents were secured, the [REDACTED] Fireteam placed C4 Charges, made it to a safe distance, and detonated them. The C4 destroyed the entire Outpost, which was mostly wooden to begin with, as well as the vegetation in the surrounding area. Causing a large yet somehow controlled fire. The [REDACTED] Fireteam then called in extraction, waited for four mikes, got onto another UH-1Y Huey, and extracted successfully.
