The trail itself is only 2 days, but we added an extra day hike in the middle and spent two nights camping at Amarati Tourist Shelter in order to prolong our time in the mountains. The scenery in the Lesser Caucasus is quite different to that of the Greater Caucasus. The views we had on days two and three of this hike were fantastic, with the Greater Caucasus Range spread out in the distance, including Mt Kazbek and Ushba, and layer upon layer of mountains surrounding us.
