Did you really think I’d come to LA without showing love to Cambodia Town in Long Beach? In this video, I stop by Little La Lune, a modern revival of the beloved La Lune Restaurant, which has been a staple in the Khmer community for decades. This spot holds a special place in my heart. It was one of the first Khmer restaurants I ever tried over 15 years ago when I first visited Long Beach. Every time I’m back in town, I make it a mission to support Khmer-owned businesses and highlight authentic Cambodian comfort food. This time, I went for Somlor Machu Yuon instead of my usual Somlor Machu Kroeung. After a few days of partying, this sweet and sour soup was exactly what my body needed. It brought me right back to the flavors of home and my mom’s cooking. We also tried the Ngoam S'doav, a bold and refreshing green mango salad with Khmer herbs, fish, and crispy pork bursting with bitter, sweet, and tangy flavors. And for dessert, we couldn’t skip the Ja Kwai (Chinese donut sticks) with condensed milk. Straight-up addictive. If you're visiting Long Beach's iconic Cambodia Town, put Little La Lune on your foodie list. Authentic flavors, community roots, and pure Khmer comfort. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more cultural food adventures! Little La Lune 2054 CA-1, Long Beach, CA 90804 Intro music by Johnny Phay (Contains Sin Sisamouth Sample)
