This movie introduces a hiking course that can be completed in 1 to 1.5 hours from Hiroshima Station. If you look towards the mountain from the north exit of the station, you'll see the shining silver stupa of Futabayama Peace Tower. If you're in good condition, you can enjoy a 60-minute round-trip hike from the station to the stupa. The walk to the stupa is 1.3km one way, at an elevation of 130m. Along the way, you'll pass Hiroshima Toshogu Shrine, and from the Okumiya (100m above sea level) you can enjoy a panoramic view of Hiroshima city. Listening to the birdsing in the forest, you'll be refreshed in the scent of trees and silence all the way to the stupa. Hiroshima Toshogu Shrine is a shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, who founded the Edo Shogunate, and was built here in 1648. It was destroyed by the atomic bomb in 1945, but was rebuilt in 1965. The Futabayama Peace Tower was erected in 1966 with the cooperation of local residents and volunteers, and donated to the city of Hiroshima, with the hope of achieving happiness for humanity and lasting peace in a world without war, and to pray for the repose of the souls of the victims of the atomic bomb. Inside the stupa are enshrined three relics: one donated by the late Indian Prime Minister Nehru, one donated by Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), and one donated by Mongolian Buddhists. The Buddha statue in front was donated by Ceylon. #Hiroshima station, #hiking, #Toshogu, #東照宮　#双葉山 広島駅から約1.5時間で回れるハイキングコースを紹介します。 駅北口から山の方角を見れば銀色に輝く塔、双葉山平和塔が見えます。 駅から塔まで、健脚なら往復60分のハイキングが楽しめます。 塔までは片道1.3km、標高は130m。 途中、広島東照宮を経由して、奥宮（標高100m）からは広島市内が一望できます。 森の中では鳥のさえずりを聞きながら、山頂塔まで木々の香りと静寂に包まれてリフレッシュ出来ます。 因みに、広島東照宮は江戸幕府を開いた徳川家康公をお祭りした神社で1648年、この地に建てられました。1945年、原爆により焼失しましたが、1965年再建されました。 二葉山平和塔は人類の幸福と戦争のない世界の恒久平和を念願し、原子爆弾の犠牲者の冥福を祈るため、1966年に地元住民や有志の協力により建立され、広島市に寄贈されました。 塔内には、インドの故ネール首相から贈られた仏舎利一粒、セイロン国（現スリランカ）から贈られた仏舎利一粒、モンゴル仏教徒から贈られた仏舎利一粒が奉安されています。正面の仏像はセイロン国から贈られたものです。
