✨ ILOILO TRAVEL VLOG PART 2 | Agatona 1927, Molo Church, Miagao Church & Lizares Mansion with Mama ✨ This is Part 2 of my work trip and weekend getaway with Mama here in Iloilo City! 💛 We started our day visiting Agatona 1927, a beautifully restored ancestral home in Iloilo known for its timeless architecture and charm. Built in 1927, it once served as a private residence that now stands as a reminder of Iloilo’s rich heritage and elegant past. Next stop — Molo Church, also known as St. Anne Parish Church, famous for its all-female saint statues and stunning Gothic-Renaissance design. Right across is the Molo Mansion, a beautifully preserved heritage house that now serves as a lifestyle and souvenir center featuring local Ilonggo products and cafés. Later that evening, we met Ate Mae and her son Coco for dinner! Ate Mae is Mama’s cousin, so it was such a warm, happy catch-up over great food and stories. 📅 October 5, Sunday We explored the historic Miagao Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 1797. Known for its intricate façade carved with tropical motifs, the church stands as one of the most iconic Baroque churches in the Philippines. To end the day, we indulged in a delicious seafood dinner at Tytche Grill and Seafood Restaurant— shrimp, scallops, fish, prawns — all fresh and flavorful! 🦐🐟 📅 October 6, Monday Before heading home, we visited the Lizares Mansion, a stunning 1937 mansion originally built by Don Emiliano Lizares. The mansion later became the Dominican Sisters’ Angelicum School and remains one of Iloilo’s most photographed landmarks for its grand white structure and stately garden.
