Hyderabad MMTS Train Journey 🚆 | Middle Class వాళ్ళకి ఇదొక గొప్ప ఆధారం 🙌 Hyderabad MMTS Train Journey | Middle Class వాళ్ళకి ఇదొక గొప్ప ఆధారం 🙌 🌆 MMTS Train Journey — Lingampalli to Medchal 🚆 📍 Start: Lingampalli MMTS Station 📍 Destination: Medchal MMTS Station ⏱️ Duration: About 1 hr 55 min 📏 Distance: Around 51 km with ~24 stops along the route. This journey takes you through the suburban rail heart of the Hyderabad metropolitan region — a great way to experience the city’s outskirts, busy neighbourhoods, and daily commuter life. The MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport System) links Lingampalli in the west to Medchal in the north, passing through key stations like Chandanagar, Hafeezpet, Borabanda, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Alwal, and Bolarum. Passengers enjoy scenic glimpses of urban and semi-urban landscapes — from bustling residential clusters to quieter stretches near the city’s edge — while experiencing a budget-friendly suburban rail ride. It’s especially popular with daily commuters, students, and anyone who prefers train travel over road traffic. 🚉🌇 📜 History & Expansion of MMTS 🚆 The MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport System) was launched in August 2003 by the South Central Railway (SCR) as Hyderabad’s suburban rail network. It was designed to provide a quick, affordable, and efficient rail option for city and suburban travellers, originally connecting Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Lingampalli. Over the years, MMTS has expanded its services and network, including extending to outer suburbs like Medchal and other directions such as Umdanagar and Ghatkesar — helping integrate distant neighbourhoods into Hyderabad’s commuter rail map. In October 2023, four new MMTS services between Medchal and Lingampalli were introduced to better serve daily commuters, especially during morning and evening peak hours. 💸 Fares (Affordable & Commuter-Friendly) MMTS ticket prices are very economical compared with buses or other transport. 🟢 General Class (Single Journey) 0–10 km → ₹5 10–15 km → ₹6 15–20 km → ₹7 20–25 km → ₹8 25–30 km → ₹9 30–35 km → ₹10 35–40 km → ₹11 40-50km - ₹15 Since Lingampalli to Medchal (~51 km) is over 40 km, the fare will generally be at the higher end of these slabs, but still very low compared with road transport. 👉 First Class is roughly 12× higher than General class for similar distances. 💡 MMTS also offers a combined monthly pass with RTC buses for around ₹700, allowing unlimited travel on both MMTS (general class) and regular city buses. 👍 Why This Journey is Special ✅ Super economical — ideal for students, workers & daily commuters 🚆 Frequent suburban stops give great city views 🌇 Connects major hubs like Secunderabad, Chandanagar & Alwal ⏱️ Less stress compared to road traffic during peak hours #MMTS #MMTSTrain #HyderabadMMTS #LingampalliToMedchal #Lingampalli #Medchal #HyderabadLocalTrain #SuburbanRail #IndianRailways #SouthCentralRailways #SCR #LocalTrain #TrainJourney #Railfanning #RailFanIndia #TrainLovers #TrainVibes #DailyCommute #BudgetTravel #Hyderabad #HyderabadDiaries #ExploreHyderabad #CityToSuburb #UrbanTravel #TravelVlog #TrainVlog #RailVlog #TravelReels #InstaRail #VlogLife #TheTravellerPrakash
