The Dying Art of the Flashlight Save

If you pay close attention to the average DBD match, flashlight saves have started to become rarer by the day, almost to the point of near extinction. Dead by Daylight is known for its risky altruistic plays and maneuvers, but unfortunately the art of the flashlight save has been slowly dying in recent years, and all for a number of very different reasons. Once in a blue moon I'm lucky to witness solo queue survivors wield flashlights in a successful manner, but it truly has become a dying art in my view. There are layers to this problem, just like with anything in DBD, and as always there's never a perfect answer to "fixing" it. However, I do believe there are some small rays of hope that flashlight saves will remain at least somewhat relevant for distant future. Preserving this thrilling display of survivor skill is something I do my best at, but its tough out there in the fog...
