More hot action at the old SF depot in Henrietta. Train 1. UP train ZCSTU from Canal St. to Tucson flies through at around 65mph. This is an easy train to pick out on the transcon, it's a pretty regular morning train, and has those distinctive "knobs" on the rear. This train now originates at Global 4 instead of Canal St. Train 2. ZCSTU meets the old 991 train, the ZNBYWSP9, today running about an hour off schedule. It's 64 UPS trailers are flying by near 70 mph. Train 3. An unknown Z flies east only 10 minutes behind the 991. I'm pretty sure this is the Z-ABQWSP9 from Albuquerque. Train 4. I decided to try a new filming angle (something I rarely do, yes) on top the bridge and it turned our pretty good. I catch NS train 21T from Rutherford, PA to K.C. rolling by with autos and stacks near 60 mph. Train 5. I'm not 100% sure on the symbol of this train. On the NS Chicago line I usually railfan I've been catching run throughs off the BNSF on Thursday's and early Friday's. This traffic used to run only late Friday - Monday, leaving L.A. Wed. - Sat. I'm pretty sure this run-through traffic now runs earlier in the week now too, but on a slower schedule, and this is that traffic. This Z doesn't look like the others with its many marine containers mixed in with domestic ones, something you normally only see on two other Z's, one of them being its counterpart the ZNYCLAC. Train 6. You can only hear the next train as it glides by on the NS owned track 3. The ZCIG1 has about 100ish domestic containers and 13 pigs, in its typical 2 lead and 2 mid train dpu units. Train 7. The Southwest Chief is next, running right on time through Henrietta. The dispatcher is running this train around the UP train. Train 8. The pig from Kansas City to Willow Springs lead by 7604 bounds through Henrietta near track speed. Train 9. A short unknown auto train is only 16 minutes behind the Z. Train 10. 8 minutes after the autorack clears is a westbound UP stack train with 166 domestic containers. Train 11. I started making my way to K.C. I was supposed to get a 24 hour count the previous evening, but I failed and fell asleep. So I decided to leave early and get to the hotel early. This last train I catch just west of C.A. junction, the western end of the paired BNSF/NS tracks. I'm unsure of what this train is. My first guess would be a Stockton train since one hadn't been by already today, but the UPS block in the middle throws me off, as does only 3 units leading. It's rare to catch a California bound Z with less than 4 units. It also could be a San Bernadino train, as UPS trailers occasionally show up on those trains. Or it could be something crazy like a mixed train with a SBD block, a STO block, and the UPS traffic for KCK. I used to have all the schedules down, but the recession had to screw everything up!
