We feel that our visualization skills suck for our rating. So, we plan to do something about it. Can one really improve one's visualization by practice? We don't know for sure, but that's the hypothesis we're going with. I think we have at least one new idea here that we haven't heard mentioned in other videos: if you can't play a blindfold game, start by playing blindfold in positions with just a few pieces. Update: We played 20 moves into a blindfold game against Stockfish level 5 before giving up, and at the end the engine said the position was equal! Well, not really blindfold. We played the kind of blindfold where you get to stare at an empty board (and even look at the move list and replay the moves on the empty board). If we had to play blindfold chess while actually wearing a blindfold, we'd probably go insane.
