イタリアを旅行し世界遺産のドロミテ(ドロミーティ)を訪れなかったとしたら一生の損です。ミラノ コルティナ　冬季オリンピックが開催されましたが、そのコルティナがドロミテの中心都市の一つです。ドロミテはイタリア北東部に広がる山岳地帯で、日本で例えるならニセコや上高地、軽井沢のようなところです。独特の白い岩峰群からなり同じアルプスでもスイスやオーストリアとは異なる景観が特徴です。中でも最も有名なのがトレ・チーメ・ディ・ラヴァレード（通称：トレチーメ）で、三つの切り立った岩峰が並ぶ姿はドロミテの象徴とされています。標高は3000m前後ながら迫力があり、ハイキングや登山、写真撮影の名所として世界中から人が訪れます。 また、多くの鋭い岩峰や、巨大な岩壁が連なり氷河を抱く雄大な山容が印象的です。世界的冒険家のラインホルト メスナーを育んだ岩壁があるのでも有名です。湖では、エメラルド色の水面が美しいブライエス湖や、トレチーメの麓に位置するミズリーナ湖が有名で、周囲の岩山を映す静かな風景が魅力です。ドロミテは世界自然遺産にも登録されており、自然美と地質学的価値の両面で高く評価されています。今回ミラノからレンタカーを借りてドロミテ の コルティナを経由してトレチーメを一周するトレッキングの機会に恵まれました。またコルティナを含むドロミテ周辺を観光でき素晴らしい体験ができました。これを見て一人でも多くの方がドロミテに興味を持っていただければ幸いです。ベネチア(ベニス)の北なのでアクセスも良く絶対にオススメの場所です。キャンプ、トレッキングや登山の好きな方にはさらにオススメです。イタリアを訪問し美術館を鑑賞するのも良いですが、地元のイタリア人は夏も冬も暇さえあればドロミテに行きたがるでしょう。 The Milan-Cortina Olympics were held there, but many people may be wondering, "Where is Cortina?" Cortina is a tourist city in the European Alps in northeastern Italy, located in the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site. The Dolomites are a mountainous region stretching across northeastern Italy, distinguished by their unique pale rock spires and a landscape that differs markedly from that of the Alps. Among them, the most renowned is Tre Cime di Lavaredo (commonly known as Tre Cime), whose three towering, steep rock pinnacles standing side by side are regarded as a symbol of the Dolomites. Although their elevation is around 3,000 meters, the mountains possess an impressive presence, attracting visitors from around the world for hiking, mountaineering, and photography. The region is also characterized by sharp peaks and vast rock faces forming a majestic mountain landscape, some of which cradle glaciers, leaving a particularly strong impression. Notable lakes include Lake Braies, famous for its emerald-colored waters, and Lake Misurina, located at the foot of Tre Cime. Both offer tranquil scenery, reflecting the surrounding rocky mountains on their calm surfaces. The Dolomites are designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and are highly valued for both their natural beauty and geological significance. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to hike around Tre Cime and explore the surrounding Dolomite region, making it a truly wonderful experience. I sincerely hope that this will inspire as many people as possible to take an interest in the Dolomites.
