MEXICO CITY — Newly released security video shows the final moments of Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman in his cell before he escaped down a Mexican prison on July 11. Footage from inside 'El Chapo's' elaborate tunnel shows how he escaped. Guzman escaped from Altiplano Federal Penitentiary at around 8:52 p.m. local time on Saturday by crawling through a series of tunnels located right underneath the shower of his prison cell. The longest tunnel, a 1,500-metre-long horizontal tunnel included lighting and ventilation, and ended at an isolated house in the nearby neighborhood of Santa Juanita.
