In Part 2, Bella talks about her experiences finding a good support community as an adult that helped her recover from the issues of her childhoold and learn to cope with her condition. --- My friend Bella talks about her experiences growing up with epilepsy in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Throughout her childhood, others have judged or alienated her because of her disease. This is her story of overcoming the stigma others have placed on her. I hope this helps anyone who may be dealing with a similar challenge and also helps you think through how to evaluate people in your daily life who may seem different. This is the first video in a new video series I am starting, where I interview people in the places I visit as I travel the world. The goal is to understand people’s stories and struggles in life to get a sense for what kinds of issues people face in different societies around the world and what strategies people use to face them.
