This really nice Peavey Grind NTB-5 5 string bass is in the shop for a setup and check up. The tuning machines are pretty bad and the electronics are crackling... but the major problem is the truss rod nut: it is totally stripped out. It will take a little bit of careful work to remove it and then find a replacement (if possible). Let me know in the comments below where you think I can find a replacement truss rod nut: 10-32 thread x 8mm diameter x 25mm long This bass was made in Vietnam between 2000-2006 or so I have heard... I will be straightening the neck and adding a back bow so that we can get some neck relief under string tension. All without using heat, no heat press, just some clamping force.
