Wildgrowth Walker feels like an old card now, everyone has played it and many players are tired of it, and that is fair. But Wildgrowth Walker reminds me of an old card that I never grew tired of, and that is Quirion Dryad. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Car... This little critter was 12/12 when she knocked me out of the top 8 of Pro Tour Qualifier in Detroit in an old format that is no extinct called Extended. In fact, this was the first set of Extended Pro Tour Qualifiers (to my knowledge and the best of my recollection, fact check me if you like). The deck I played was built around Armageddon (destory all lands) and Mystic Enforcer. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Car... That card was a beast when you had Threshold, and blowing up all the lands usually got you to seven cards in the graveyard. I thought my deck was good, and I was cruising, until I ran into Quirion Dryad and a deck called Miracle Grow. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=... I wish I had THAT deck! It is so much fun to play. Wildgrowth Walker reminds me of Miracle Grow because in the explore creatures act as the cantrip spells, but they are also creatures that apply more pressure, which is very green to me. Some people are sick and tired of the Wildgrowth Walker, but I remember an all-Ixalan format from the earliest days of MTG Arena when Dinosaurs and Pirates where the whole format, and the only deck that could compete with those tribes was a little Green/Black pile of nonsense creatures and Wildgrowth Walker, which could become bigger than any dinosaur if you played your cards right. So you see, I still have love for the Wildgrowth Walker, and I am glad it has had time to shine in such a crazy format. Thanks for reading, Love CGB
