Here is my review of the new, 2023, RadioMaster Pocket Radio TX, utilising EdgeTX. This radio has removable gimbal sticks and a folding antenna for easy storage in your flight bag. I feel the radio is aimed at drone pilots but because of the very usable trim gimbals great for fixed wing planes, may be not for full house planes because of the reduced number of switches compared to the RadioMaster TX16S. Coming in Express LRS & CC2500 versions the Express LRS maximum power output is stated at 250mW. Having 18650 batteries the stated battery life at this power output is over 7 hours which I feel is very usable for a day’s flying. Changing the Mode of the Pocket is easy to do without opening the radios case, I fly mode 1 so needed to convert the Pocket radio supplied for review. The screen is small but very clear to read.
