This siren is part of the DeKalb County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested every first Wednesday Evening of the month weather permitting at 5:00 pm, and is controlled by the DeKalb County Emergency Management Agency. Since I have enough time to kill, I have decided to try Decatur again, even though I told myself that I would never go back there again. I'd just wanted to make up for the siren in Upson County. Before I decided to come back here and record this siren, we were originally going to record a Thunderbolt in Atwater, Georgia, but Brendan and I figured out that the siren's power has been cut due to a technical problem. But nevertheless, I was just itching for one last recording, and I have chosen to do this siren that is at a nearby park. Brendan Williamson could not make it this time, so I went alone. When the siren activated for about thirty seconds, I can hear the chopper dying down a bit, and my guess was probably the battery that is inside the control box. Obviously, these sirens were WACK, but then again, it is what it is. Anyways, I finally got the footage and I was exhausted but got a great video in the end.
