This is our first VLOG together of our 2 week trip to Japan end of January 2026. Since it was a first timer for both of us, we decided to take you along our journey. We started our trip in Hokkaido with five days in Niseko for skiing, a few nights in Sapporo, flew down to KIX airport near Osaka to go to Kyoto, stayed there for a bit before moving on to our final stop Tokyo. Places we really liked and can recommend along our journey: HOKKAIDO: • Rusutsu ski resort was our favourite and 5hour-passes are available for decent prices + nice view on Mount Yotei if sunny • Wagyu beef restaurant in Kutchan called „The Wagyu“ • Nice hotel in Sapporo „Onsen Ryokan Yuen Sapporo“ with beautiful onsen • „Ebisoba Ichigen main Shop“ for perfect ramen! KYOTO: • „Yugen Kyoto Shijo“ was our beautiful accommodation in Kyoto with a 10/10 Japanese breakfast • „Weekenders Coffee“ by far the best in town • Shop some beautiful silk kimonos at „antiques Kimono Lily Kyoto“ • We really enjoyed „Kennin-Ji“ temple • Beautiful and authentic Noren from „Rakushian Noren and Tapestry Specialty Shop“ • „Sugari“ for a nice ramen TOKYO: • Make sure to stay near or along the „Yamanote Line“ for good connections • We didn’t stay there ourselves but many friends recommended the „Mustard Hotel“ in Shimo-Kitazawa • Free observatory for a good view on Mount Fuji is „Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building“ - there are a bunch of other platforms but most of them require prebookings and tickets. • Our favourite areas were „Daikanyama“ + „Shimo-Kitazawa“ • Please don’t go to „Toyosu fish market“ except some local takes you there. There’s not much to see and even if there’s a dirty window between you and the fish - that was by far our biggest fail and disappointment • „Shinjukugyioenmae Sushilabo“ - outstanding sushi experience with the cutest chef (who speaks English very well) • Delicious and authentic lunch at „Yuzuki shimokitazawa“ Thanks to Marius & Linus for the additional Footage.
