Edward Elgar - Nimrod from "Enigma Variations" | GrandOrgue

After seeing the massive devastation of the Notre Dam Cathedral in Paris, I wanted to record this beautiful piece by Edward Elgar. I actually had the rare opportunity to witness a recital at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City by the incredibly talented Olivier Latry. It's crazy to think that his home organ, the place where he spends most of his time, where he became the organist we know today, could now be gone forever. My deepest condolences to that amazing church and and everyone who has ever been there, especially to their world-class organists. Even though I have never been to that beautiful space, I still feel a connection there. Maybe it's an organist thing.
