Gay Storyline from the TV series VICTORIA, Drama UK 2016-2019. Language: English London 1837, Queen Victoria ascended to the throne of Great Britain at the age of eighteen. Lord Alfred Paget serves as an equerry at Buckingham Palace, while Sir Edward Drummond (played by Leo Suter) is the Prime Minister's private secretary. Despite their official duties and attendance at social events, Alfred and Drummond share a close bond, and both seem uninterested in women. Given the societal attitudes towards homosexuality during Victoria's reign, the two men are unable to express their feelings for each other openly. Still, their glances convey a sense of affection and longing. Their feelings find a semblance of safety within the royal court. During a trip to Scotland with the royal family, Alfred and Drummond share their first kiss. Despite a moment of jealousy, Alfred ultimately approves of Drummond's engagement.
