USA Gold is an American budget brand of cigarettes that was first introduced in 1991 by Commonwealth Brands, now a defunct budget cigarette producer, and from what I can tell, rose to some popularity by the late 1990's. In the early 2000's, Commonwealth Brands, and all the brands they made, were purchased by one company, and then another, and now today are produced by ITG Brands, which is Imperial Tobacco's United States subsidiary. Today, from what I can tell, USA Golds are more popular than not, and are a common sight in stores.
