In the Company of Exiles | Castle Rising

The Company of Exiles demonstrate a 15th Century fighting system developed by the Italian knight and fencing master Fiore dei Liberi. Appearing here at Black Knight Historical's Soldiers Through the Ages history festival at Castle Rising in England, the group explain some principles of this 'holistic' martial art, revealing the importance of the dagger in Fiore's manuscripts. Also a look at the use of blunt and sharp swords and a demonstration of the deadly speed of a sharp blade when used in trained hands. Members of The Exiles featured in order of appearance include Simon Dixon (incorrectly captioned Chris May), Jason Mitchel, Mark Lancaster, Luke Ireland and Chelsea Mitchel.
