How Can Ports Prepare for Cyber Attacks on Critical Infrastructure? In this episode, GNSI’s Strategy and Research Manager, Tad Schnaufer, PhD, sat down with the CEO of Dryad Global, Corey Ranslem, to discuss how ports can prepare for potential attacks on their critical infrastructure and work toward finding solutions to threats. The conversation focused on evolving threats that ports may face by both state and non-state actors. Ranslem hypothesized that zero-day attacks and cyber-physical attacks may become more common as cyber capabilities advance. He noted that air gap systems could potentially prevent data from being stolen, as well as prevent technology from being maliciously manipulated. Schnaufer and Ranslem also discussed the importance of ports in both national and state infrastructure, and how both human and technological error can lead to supply chain disruption. ________________________________________ GNSI is a nonpartisan institution whose mission is to provide actionable solutions to 21st-century security challenges for decision-makers at the local, state, national, and global levels.
