It is easy for the heart to feel suffocated by fear and to think that everything is collapsing around us. But this Sunday’s liturgy places in our hands another key for reading reality: this is not “the end of the world,” but a time of unveiling – a time when the Lord calls us to lift our eyes to Him and to hear His quiet promise: “Not a hair of your heads will perish… By your endurance you will gain your souls” (Lk 21:18–19). As we approach the end of the liturgical year, the Church invites us to read our personal history and the history of the world in the light of Christ, not in the light of fear. We warmly invite you to join us for this Mass and the homily preached by Msgr. Francis Fayez, so that together we may discover how to live a hope that does not collapse in a time when so many “temples” seem to be falling. In this Sunday’s homily, Msgr. Francis Fayez will guide us through a pastoral reflection on: How to read the news of the world in the light of the Gospel, and how to “gain our souls by endurance” in a time of crisis.
