My marriage is void. Do I still have to go to court?

Under Philippine law, it is not up to you to decide that your marriage is invalid or legally null and void, particularly if you want to remarry. It is not enough by itself that there was something wrong with how you got married so that your marriage was invalid. You still need to get a court declaration on the nullity of that marriage if you want to be clear to remarry. A case needs to be filed in court to get a final judgment of nullity.
