March 2, 2021 Green Infrastructure Workgroup Assessment of LID Handbook Integration into Valley Projects and the Impacts of GI/LID in the Arid Phoenix Metro Region by Jillian Garman, ASU MPA Jillian Garman completed her Masters of Public Administration at Arizona State University. Her degree capstone project and research on green infrastructure (GI) and low impact development (LID) included interviews with developers and municipal leaders to better understand the appreciation of the value of GI in our arid climate juxtaposed with the lack of implementation. She also created a map of locations throughout the valley. Jillian’s presentation highlights attitudes, case studies and how the SCN LID Handbook helped broaden the GI and LID conversation.
