In this video we focus on journalistic integrity within cannabis, specifically cannabis in Africa. Todays guest is Brett Hilton-Barber publisher of Cannabiz Africa (www.cannabiz-africa.com). Cannabiz Africa has built-up a reputation within African cannabis by publishing the most relevant news articles on cannabis to local audiences. Brett is also active on CannaSphere Africa hosted by Cheeba Cannabis TV (Trenton Birch and Linda Siboto) featuring Noxy Mhlongo. In this interview Brett shares his passion for cannabis journalism and how he goes about verifying the legitimacy and authenticity of cannabis news in Africa and Internationally. We discuss the impact of cannabis influencers vs cannabis journalists and highlight the current challenges facing cannabis in South Africa and Africa. I also get to ask Brett how he sees the future of cannabis (medical, hemp and responsible adult-use) in South Africa and Africa for 2022 and beyond.
