How I made an owl plushie

This is a step by step process of how I create a grey owl plush stuffed animal toy. First I start with my custom pre-made sewing pattern and use it to cut out parts from fleece fabric. I use both antipill and blizzard fleece in this build. The main body and the face & belly patch are antipill fleece, while the beak, feet and eyes are made from blizzard fleece. I do not trace the pattern onto the fabric as I can use a rotary cutter to cut the desired pieces right from the pattern. Once all the pieces are cut, I can glue down the necessary parts to keep them in place for sewing. For this part I use Fabri-Tac permanent adhesive by Beacon. I've tried lots of different fabric glues and found this one seems to work the best for not interfering with the sewing machine. Once the face is sewn on I proceed to sew together the feet and beak. Then using clips to hold the fabric in place, I sew the rest of the parts together. The next step in to invert the plushie so it is right side out. The next step is to fill the empty plush cavity with stuffing. I use Poly-fill brand polyster fiberfill because I find it gives me the best squishieness. Once the stuffing is done, I hand stitch the hole closed and attach a tag. That's it, hours of work compressed into just a few minutes. I really love how this one turned out, he's so soft and huggable, super cute owl. As Plushzilla I create original handmade plush stuffed animals and toys.
