But now we could be on the cusp of another crisis, as more than a quarter of a million cancer referrals were missed at the height of lockdown and experts predict we could see a further 30,000 avoidable deaths due to cancer cases going undiagnosed. Adrian Rogers is one of those patients suffering the consequences of delays to treatment and is now terminally ill with bowel cancer.
