Part 2:    • The Polar Express but only the parts in th...   The Polar Express was based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg. However, the book is only about 30 pages long, and the movie is 100 minutes long, so they had to add a lot of new scenes, characters, and storylines. I wondered what the Polar Express would look like if it strictly followed the book, and these are my findings. It's just over 10 minutes long (between the 2 parts) and the story is a lot simpler, but the overall message is the same. Turn on subtitles to see the original text of the book. They might not line up quite right, as the movie changed some things in the scenes from the book. All footage belongs to Warner Bros. Films, thanks to them for allowing me to share this edit. The spectacular music is by Alan Silvestri. And of course, credit goes to the author, Chris Van Allsburg, for this amazing story.
