Can you cut Delrin and Acetal on a CO2 Laser?

Yes! You can cut Delrin and acetal / acetal copolymer sheets with a CO2 laser, but you really need to understand the safety aspect of it and the settings for your laser. Delrin gives off formaldehyde gas when it burns. Formaldehyde is toxic, carcinogenic, and extremely flammable! But with an understanding of the risks and a few tips on best speed and power settings, you can cut beautiful Delrin parts on your CO2 laser.
