Solo hiking in Sweden, as well as all of Scandinavia, is always a special experience, and so it was this time where I had to cross this ruined bridge to reach the end of the trail. The trail starts through a fantastic forest and ends at Ekenäs castle, a picturesque place in a typical southern Swedish landscape. The place is perfect for solo hiking and camping as well as bird watching. Maybe this isn’t the scariest bridge in the world, but it felt especially challenging for me as I noticed the half-rotted sections sinking into the water.
