The Jungle Books (there are two volumes) contain a number of stories. The best know are those featuring Mowgli who is brought up by wolves with the help of a bear, black panther, and snake. These original classic stories are significantly different and more intense than the enjoyable Disney films. Adults will enjoy the perhaps more than children for adults will better understand the gravity of the situations and underlying mental processes of the characters. Warning: One of the stories may break your heart. And yet, that is the way it should be. Windsor Davies - If they gave Oscars for audiobook performances, Windsor Davies would have won for his brilliant performance. Now, get to know the characters as they were originally written by the peerless Rudyard Kipling. Enjoy!
