“And the purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” — Eleanor Roosevelt Following a picturesque drive up the range from Esk, we agreed to FREE CAMP at The Farmers’ Arms Hotel, in Cabarlah (just outside Toowoomba). This historic pub holds the record for being the oldest surviving (continually licensed) pub in Queensland - Since 1863. Our decision was cemented by all the fabulous reviews on WikiCamps and the fact it was a Thursday …. FREE Trivia night! We checked in with the lovely girls at the bar and booked a table for dinner (as recommended). We happily set up camp on a grassy spot around the back of the pub and spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing. As dinner time approached, we ventured over to the pub and keenly checked out our trivia opponents as they arrived. After a night of competitive frivolity, we excitedly walked back to our caravan with our winnings – a bottle of wine! The next morning, we headed into Toowoomba and visited the Cobb & Co Museum before making tracks to our next destination. Time to hit the road! Michelle & Michael – The travel addicts
