hey, thanks for clicking, you must be a really cool person. This is a bunch of demo tracks and music videos i made last month that i wanted to put out. This version of the demo adds a new track called, The Changing City [no ai]. Hope you enjoy, be sure to leave a comment and share how the video found you. Made in ableton live and davinci resolve. I used Vital with Valhalla SuperMassive for most of the sound design. Leave comment if you're interested to know more i guess Track listing is below if you wanna click through 0:00 - The Helicopter 3:45 - Shake Hands with Danger 7:03 - Century 21 Calling 10:43 - Match Your Mood 14:29 - Give Yourself the Green Light 18:43 - The Changing City 22:35 - Roads to Romance 25:36 - Rochester 28:45 - Men and Jobs 32:08 - Design for Dreaming 36:22 - Oil Today Power Tomorrow 40:19 - The Big Bounce 43:29 - Volcanoes 48:01 - Tragedy or Hope My notes at this point on these demos: The Tragedy or Hope mix is horrendous and the melody needs to be fixed Volcanoes is ok, but parts of that have level issues as well Roads to Romance has some phase issues I think, definite issues with high end fizz as well :o Rochester might need to be a bit brighter The Big Bounce is close to complete but the sounds could be a bit more stereo or something, it's a bit one dimensional Men and Jobs needs a new mix to clean up some stereo issues and put some brightness back in I think it's Match Your Mood but some of tracks definitely have too much sibilance on the lead synths The Design for Dreaming lead synth is too loud Next upload should feature another new track. I'm aiming to get to about 90 minutes of material and then I might actually pick out a few tracks to release officially. There is no AI involved in the making of any of my demo tracks or videos. Started this channel as a place to create stuff that wasn't SLOP so started making music and videos. Some of my tracks are pretty complete but some are really in a demo phase. Like to share it so people can see that a track doesn't always turn straight into the finished product. Please support real artists and stop clicking on the AI chill videos with the the blue thumbnails, we gotta support the arts out here folks. I work in Ableton Live mostly and use Valhalla Supermassive and Vital for most of my sound design. I only use free plugins so the mix is pretty DIY, the TDR Nova EQ can make a big difference for people if you've never tried it. I would also recommend their compressor the Kotalnikov, which I also use. Other than that, most of what i use is stock ableton plugins. I would also recommend for anyone interested to check out voxengo's utilities like the Correlometer or MSED, really useful for understanding the phase and stereo balance of synths. My mastering chain is pretty straightforward I think. I run through an ableton Utility, through 3 TDR Novas. One for the full mix, one for mono and one for sides. Then I feed that into multiband compression and then through the TDR Kotalnikov. After that I add a tiny bit of reverb, roll off the top and bottom and if everything looks good, it all goes into LoudMax and I find the level with Youlean. If this sounds like complete rubbish to you, please let me know what I could do different. For the videos, I basically search the internet archive and look for some cool public domain footage that I can use. A lot of old instructional and US government training films mostly. Edit them in DaVinci Resolve, I am a complete beginner at video editing but I think they look cool at least. If anyone has any other sources for public domain video, let me know. I'm looking to expand my visual vocabulary soon on these videos. I love them but I don't want to have one look for everything. I add a lot of static and like a red filter to all of the videos to get a more retro analog look. May need to find another way to erode the video quality. Anyway, that's my cliff notes for now. If you enjoy the video, please subscribe for more All tracks and videos are on my channel if you want to check them out again later. These aren't really final mixes, more a first sketch. Let me know what you think. All source video is in the Public Domain. All audio in this video is original and created by me, not AI-generated.
