In this video I trim a number of King Palms (Archontophoenix Cunninghamiana) using multiple methods: hand saw up in the tree, pole saw from the ground, pole chainsaw from the ground. Climbing up into the tree with an arborist hand saw is definitely the cleanest cut option but might not always be the right solution. King Palms are self pruning and do not require trimming like other species. In these cases, I had been asked to improve the aesthetics of the palms and mitigate the periodic dropping of fronds and seed pods. Tools: Phoenix Arborist hand saw, Fiskars 16' Pole Saw, Milwaukee M18 Quick-Lok Pole Saw.
