Removing Ladder Fuels and Beautifying the Land

This is my most satisfying work, I call it 'Parking Out the Land', basically making it like a park. Over the years I have come to the conclusion that returning the brush back to the land in the form of ashes and biochar is the best for the soil. As for rotting logs and dead snags for habitat, I always leave plenty of that. Since our forests are full of dead and dying trees because of centuries of mis-management, there is no shortage of habitat for animals and insects that use dead decaying wood for thier livelyhood.
