Ponzi schemes are not new, but with internet they've gotten more cunning and more trickier. They promise high returns on investments but little is revealed about how they are supposed to be generating these returns. South Africa has has been hit by many of these whether its DEFENCE X, KIPI, or PECUSURE, and the latest is MMM. Last year it was reported that MMM South Africa was one of the pyramid schemes under investigation by the National Consumer Commission in South Africa.
