For Best Results: Make your own soilless Potting Mix

In this video I explain how to make your own potting mix for soilless hydroponics. As far as soilless way is concerned one should always choose an inert and disease free potting medium for plant growth. The following characteristics of the medium make it easily cusomizable for different types of plants. 1. Air porosity 2. Water holding/retention capacity 3. Ideal (ph and salt content) 4. Cation exchange capacity In this video, we will see how to create your own potting mix using the following ingredients 1. Cococoir (base) 2. Perlite ( to increase air porosity /decreasing water holding capacity) 3. Vermiculite (to increase water holding capacity/reduce air porosity) Using the right ratio of cocopeat, perlite and vermiculite, we can play around with different mix combinations required.
