Today w'ere exploring the best things to do in MOSTAR, BOSNIA!! ► Subscribe - https://bit.ly/ProbablyLostSubscribe ► Instagram - https://bit.ly/ProbablyLostOnInstagram ► Facebook - https://bit.ly/ProbablyLostFB So, you're thinking about what to do in Mostar. You've found the right vlog! Mostar is definitely the most visited city in Bosnia. It's perfectly positioned between Sarajevo, Dubrovnik, & Split, offering the perfect day trip from any of those cities. Come along as we explore the best things to do in Mostar! The Old Bazaar has been the centerpiece of Mostar since the 16th century & has no shortage of restaurants, craft stores, & souvenir shops to choose from. We opted to start with some traditional Bosnian coffee here. The market stretches across both sides of the Old Bridge, which is how we got from one side of the Old Town to the other. 3. Walk across the Old Bridge (Stari Most) The Old Bridge connects one side of Old Town to the other, dividing the Muslim & Croat sides of Mostar. The Old Bridge translates to Stari Most, and is one of Bosnia’s most recognizable landmarks. The bridge crosses the Neretva River & had to be rebuilt in 2004 after the original bridge was destroyed during the Bosnian War. Prior to its destruction, the bridge stood here for over 400 years. Now this bridge is protected and is one of three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the country. We spoke a lot about the Bosnian War as well as visited a few museums when we were in Sarajevo, but Mostar sustained a significant amount of damage & destruction as well. One the west side of the Old Bridge there’s a war photo exhibition containing images taken during the Bosnian War. These offer a glimpse into a very dark side of Mostar’s history and gives perspective on just how far the city has come since the war ended in 1995. One thing that I didn’t realize prior to arriving in Bosnia was the amount of mosques in the country. The Koski-Mehmed Pasha Mosque is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Mostar and is visible across the city. The mosque is beautiful and colourful in its interior and you can enter through the courtyard and climb the stairs to the top of the minaret for the best views of the city...if you aren't scared of heights. Although the Old Bridge is really beautiful from up top, our favorite viewing spot is down below by the Neretva River. This spot offers the perfect place to get in the water to cool off as it’s EXTREMELY hot in Mostar in July, and also gives you PRIME viewing for the bridge jumpers. Nearby is the Crooked Bridge. This smaller version was built 8 years prior to the Old Bridge and is believed to have been a trial bridge of sorts, before building the bigger, more famous version over the Neretva River. Surprisingly this small little bridge survived the war relatively unscathed, but was destroyed in 2001 due to intense flooding. Thankfully it was rebuilt after. For dinner we headed to a place right next to the Old Bridge called Sadrvan. The reviews online say that the portions are generous and the prices are affordable so that’s about all we needed in order to be convinced to try it. Another reason we chose Sadrvan was because it’s right next to the path that leads down to the river. We’ve been down here multiple times during the day but really wanted to see it at night. It's definitely worth staying in Mostar for the night in order to take in this beautiful view. Thank you so much for watching! We've absolutely loved our time in Bosnia & we hope this inspires you to make the journey for yourself! See you in a few days when we head to DUBROVNIK! *CAMERA GEAR* Used for this video & all others (Affiliate Links): Primary Camera (Sony ZV-1): https://amzn.to/3ueM617 Wide-Angle Lens (Ulanzi): https://amzn.to/3KXCwGE Camera Stick (Sony Vlogger Kit): https://amzn.to/3KXoDIA Microphone (Rode VideoMicro): https://amzn.to/3qjsxDx Second Camera (GoPro HERO8 Black): https://amzn.to/37O0fLe Drone (DJI Air 2S - DRONE ONLY): https://amzn.to/3IzrCFG Drone Package (DJI Air 2S - Fly More Combo): https://amzn.to/3ugfZ0V 00:00 INTRO! 00:52 STOP 1: TRADITIONAL BOSNIAN COFFEE 02:29 STOP 2: OLD BAZAAR 02:50 STOP 3: THE OLD BRIDGE 03:16 STOP 4: WAR PHOTO EXHIBITION 04:07 STOP 5: KOSKI MEHMED PASHA MOSQUE 05:30 STOP 6: LUNCH AT HINDIN HAN 06:37 STOP 7: THE OLD BRIDGE FROM BELOW 07:31 STOP 8: CROOKED BRIDGE 08:20 STOP 9: DINNER AT SADRVAN 09:53 STOP 10: MOSTAR AT NIGHT 10:20 BLOOPERS!
