I was feeling pretty weary after the long leg from Bermagui to Lakes Entrance. It was a very welcome respite from being at sea for two days, but moreover a great place to wait out the forecast strong westerly winds for the next few days. I was so impressed by this town, it had everything! Even though I arrived at the very beginning of the school holidays, it was still very cold, and the crowds had not yet arrived. I also enjoyed my overnight trip to Metung, just an hour to the west in the Gippsland Lakes, and I have to say that was so impressed by the facilities that are available to boaties.
