This is the first session (part 2 of 6) of a parliamentary conference on AI which took place at the Palace of Westminster in London on 15-16 December 2025. This session dealt with ensuring ethical standards and human rights in AI. Organised jointly by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the UK Parliament, the conference addressed the role of parliaments in shaping the development, application and regulation of AI to ensure that it complies with democratic values and human rights.
