Listen for FREE at: www.live365.com/stations/offthecharts The St,Paul-Minnesota garage band formed in 1961 as Micheal's Mystics, then The Galaxies, but changed their name to The Mystics a couple years later. Their first recordings by the band were in 1965, without horns. The band had several changes throughout the mid 60's and they added a horn section. They began to build a good fan base in Minnesota and even opened for Sly & The Family Stone, The Buckinghams, Three Dog Night, The Who and other big bands at that time. They also played over 300 gigs in 1969 alone. "Pain" was released as a lone single in 1969 and only reached #116 in the summer of 1969. In the 70's, numerous changes in the band took its toll, and The Mystics disbanded in 1977. However, they were inducted into the Minnesota Rock Country Hall Of Fame in 2006 and there are reports that some of their earlier records in the 60's have been put on acetate. © 1969 Metromedia Records
