Imad tells his story as a social entrepreneur and a Syrian refugee. He faced his battles with strength and learned how vulnerability can boost your confidence. He went on a journey to develop a tool that combines science with storytelling to help refugee children cope with trauma and to empower them with a positive role model. Imad Elabdala is the founder and CEO of Kidnovation, an innovationlab that mixes science, art and storytelling to make tools that help children with their vulnerabilities. The idea began 2 years ago, when Imad himself was struggling with PTSD after fleeing the war in Syria. He has found a new home in Sweden, which is now hosting his love for music, his engineering background and his childhood dreams.
