The fateful night of July 23, 1998...a night not easily forgotten...or survived... Raccoon City's elite police unit, S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) Bravo Team is dispatched to the Arklay Mountains following a series of brutal murders around the city outskirts. It all began two months prior when a group of hikers vanished in the Arklay Mountains Forest. On May 20, 1998, one hiker's mutilated body was found in the Marble River, marked by savage bite wounds. Soon after, sightings of ferocious, dog-like creatures were reported. June brought further horrors: a murdered family of three, apparently eaten alive, and an elderly couple discovered with human flesh in their stomachs. As grotesque reports and monstrous sightings mounted, rumours of a cannibal cult in a mountain hideout spread - and with the death toll reaching 20 by early July - the Raccoon City public, demanding stronger action, prompted local authorities to hand the case over to the S.T.A.R.S. team. Now, en route to the Arklay Mountains, Bravo Team ready to begin their investigation and search for the remaining missing hikers in what is known as the Raccoon Forest Mission. Welcome to the world of Resident Evil! We begin the epic story at the very chronological beginning point of the series: Resident Evil Zero. This cinematic playthrough is intended for newcomers unsure where to begin and wanting to sink their teeth into the world of survival horror. All documents found in-game will be voiced to help communicate the story. Note: this is not a walkthrough and some scenes have been edited to preserve the twists and turns of future story events.
