The police reform organization project or PROP sponsored the event entitled "From Behind The Blue Wall of Silence" which featured Carlton "Chucky" Berkeley NYPD Det. 2nd Grade (Ret) President of Brothers and Sisters Who Care, John Eterno NYPD Capt (Ret) Professor at Molloy College, Graham Weatherspoon NYPD Det. (Ret) founding member of 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care, Anthony Miranda NYPD Sergeant (Ret) Chair of the National Latino Officers Association, Colleen Meenan NYPD Sergeant (Ret) and former executive director of the Gay Officers Action League (GOAL.) The former officers told the story of the abuse they themselves suffered at the hands of the NYPD as well as exposed the broken and racist nature of stop and frisk, and the NYPD quota system, highlighting the fact that the quota system drives abusive policies that violate civil rights and must be discontinued.
