Raw gameplay... A sort of racing game. Forza Street [ANDROID] DEVICE: Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 I did try this previously for like 2 minutes on PC via the Microsoft Store... and it was utterly useless on desktop. On Android? It looks good, and what aspects of gameplay are involved, they do seem quite accurate and responsive... but there is little real "game" here. Trigger the ideal launch control by hitting the sweet spot in the rev range off the line. Hold down the accelerator until the turns. Release accelerator and the latest, most ideal position, and reapply on exit at the earliest, most ideal position. Apply turbo, when most tactically advantageous.. like, not when you're about to start braking into a corner. That is quite literally the entirety of what you do in this game that is skill based. The rest is all about the typical mobile $$$ gouge fest. Slow grind upgrading and resource earning... or you can spend stupid amounts of money for the bottomless pit that is never having enough to upgrade and own what's required to really win the game. It's more responsive in terms of control input than what you'll feel in NFS No Limits, but it's also a great deal more limiting in how you actually contribute to a race. One of the most telling moments I experienced, and I captured it in this video, is the race that I should have lost. I raised the difficulty to the highest, for the biggest reward and I was losing by the end. I should have lost... yet suddenly my car surged across the finishing line with a magical comeback... for no logical reason. There was nothing I could have done to earn that... it was quite literally a fake, cheat mechanic, in my favour. A cheat intended to trick the player into thinking "wow, I have a chance to really compete in this... I'll invest more time, and even some money into this cool looking game with all of these beautiful cars." ... and then, just like many other mobile games, and just like NFS No Limits, once you get past the fake/staged tutorial/intro levels of the game, and start getting some real, beefed up gear/cars/whatever... then the game will inevitably start cheating against you, provoking you to grind harder, and feel compelled to invest real world money into those last couple of vital upgrades you think you still need to move forward some more. It's been done before, and sadly, it's very obviously being done here. Shameless cash gouge hiding behind beautiful cars and pretty graphics. =================== If you dig my content, by all means show some love SUBSCRIBE & SUPPORT
