A contract to form a European Super League. When this new league was announced, all hell broke loose. Fans and politicians protested and FIFA and UEFA threatened to ban players who participate in the new league. The resistance to the project was so fierce that a majority of the 12 teams soon distanced themselves from the project. However, three teams decided to double down on the European Super League project by launching a legal campaign that is designed to challenge FIFA's and UEFA's century-old control of football.
