We're back at Tuned Turbo Car Cup, where the AI drive vastly over-tuned cars that they can barely keep on the road, even with soft racing tyres. I decided to give the Mine's GT-R R34 a run for its money, by using the humble Skyline R32 GTS-t Type M. A classic starter car for many GT2 players, this race will hopefully prove that it's viable for most late-game events too. Despite the AI's cars having between 561-628hp, there's only one real threat in this race: the Mine's Lancer Evo V. It makes much fewer mistakes than the other cars here, perhaps owing to its true 4WD handling and how ridiculously good the Lancer V and VI are in this game. Getting a lead early is important, and you need to make as few mistakes as possible. Loosening up the Skyline with soft front springs for better turning causes it to feel very twitchy. I remedied this by applying 3.6 front camber, which was enough for the car to grip well but not understeer. Soft dampers set to 2 / 2 greatly help with the bumpy wide turns. You need to be careful with the rear camber, as too much will hurt the car's corner exit traction. 1.4 gave a good balance of mid-corner grip and corner exit traction. Everything else was pretty standard. Music used: let me see your mind - Tyme.
