Is Railay Beach Worth The Hype?

In this video we show you if Railay beach is worth going to and what we think the better alternative is that is just around the beach! Railay is a beautiful beach (feels like an island) in the South of Thailand near Krabi. It's accessible from Bangkok via a sleeper train or bus. It can only be accessed by a boat so you really do feel like you're on an island! And when you arrive you get one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of Thailand with cliffs around you and a little town as well with bars and restaurants. BUT Railay beach is full of people and tourists. This isn't always a bad thing but what used to be a relaxing beach has turned into a very busy and populated area, especially when its a very small town. Our better alternative is to stay at Tonsai Beach (Specifically at Tonsai Bay Resort). It's another beach that's only accessible via boat and is only a short 10 minute walk away from Railay beach. This means it's still the perfect place to go and see Railay beach but without all the tourists and people! It's super quiet and super peaceful with some beach front bars and some lovely restaurants too.
