Realistically, how often do YOU use the Bible? When that question was asked in a nationwide survey by the American Bible Society for this year’s State of the Bible report, 15 percent of adults who are engaged with their Bible said they “use the Bible every day. Another 59 percent said they “read it at least weekly.” But what about those who said they’re NOT engaged with the Bible? Those not engaged with the Bible were the largest category in the 2018 report, stating that they have an overall “indifference” to the Bible. They’re not necessarily negative or hostile to the Bible, but dis-engaged, with the Bible having little or no impact on their daily life.
